It’s always a fun surprise to go back to an old cartoon and recognize so many names you didn’t know back then. Democrats have:
- $369 billion for green energy (largest climate investment in history)
- Student debt cancellation for 4 million+ borrowers (despite GOP lawsuits)
- Capped insulin at $35 while Republicans voted unanimously against it
And they did it while contending with
- Republican-controlled House blocking everything since 2022 (2008 if you want to count the last time they had a majority bigger than a single vote to overturn)
- Manchin/Sinema sabotaging key votes before that
- A Supreme Court that’s become a GOP policy arm
