I have an old laptop I wanted to use for my home lab. It is an old Lenovo ideapad, I went through some rough times. The screen was replaced once also it stopped being used because I it from quite high and the windows got corrupted. It had and hdd so no wonder. I wanted to replaced the disk as it was failing. I also clean the fan drop all the dust. However it won’t boot. Only thing I did to it is remove the disk and put a new one in. And second thing is unscrewed the fan, remove the dust and put it back. I doesn’t turn on. I tried looking at all the connectors but they seem fine. When I was cleaning the fan I unconnected on of the wireless antenna cables but I managed to plug it back in. I did not do other things. Everything seems connected. Only thing I could think about is that battery looks big gooey but it doesn’t boot with or without adapter. And the battery worked fine before the change.
Do you have any idea what could have went wrong?
Try to disconnect the battery, press the power button a few times without the power cable to discharge everything, then plug the power cable and press the power button
