Didn’t we have like months of warning before the API shutdown? I recall I was already upset about a ton of other shit over there (had been for years) and as soon as I started hearing rumors or stories about the API fuckery, I headed to Lemmy way before the apps stopped working.

I don’t see how he comes back from this. Originally I thought he could do it if Trump subsidized the shit out of his companies. Call me a conspiracy theorist, but I always figured Musk with his age inappropriate kid buddies like Big Balls and the Geek Squad teamed up with some Russian hackers to rig the voting machines. But from what I’m seeing now, it seems like even that won’t be enough for anyone to take any meaningful action to remove Trump and put him on trial for his countless crimes. That’s why I don’t think the pee tapes exist. Blackmail is ineffective. He can literally do any goddamn thing and no one stops him.

(As posts first go to the community, then are federated out from the community to other instances.) that’s my understanding anyway. Like my post coming from .zip will first go to the com on .world, then federate out to others like .ee, but bear will then never see this (even though .zip is still fedded with bear, which I know because I still see their shit from here in other coms.)
