The whole bifurcated party thing cuts both ways though. The vast majority of the even slightly progressive people are sick and tired of the Democrats handholding with the Republicans only narrowly being the least appetizing item on the menu. There’s nobody standing for the people. Everybody’s standing for the oligarchs. I’m not saying I would vote Republican ever, But we’ve got to be able to do something relatively better than whatever this is we’re doing now.

The Republicans would split on fiscal versus “morals”. Immorally progressive fiscally conservative party to rapillase the publicans might draw a number of the wealthy Democrats with it.

There are other countries out there that do a better job. And it’s quite clear now that our Constitution does not have the teeth It was designed to have.

Forget the Democrats, the system as a whole needs to be rethought. Your elected representative should have to serve your wants and needs within a relatively narrow guardrail.

I think the primary reason is that it was designed to be a larger install than what most of you are using.

If you’re doing a giant k8s, with a bunch of pods that come and go dynamically, portability, consistency, and management are key. And for the most part you’re not handling long-term persistent data the same way as you do when you’re just installing containers on your home lab or development environment.

But since most people don’t have this constraints, blind mounts make a hell of a lot more sense if you were only running one server in one location.

Wow, I never had a manifestation. I just woke on the couch one morning and realized I didn’t have control over my breathing and couldn’t move.
