Don’t even need to have much knowledge or intelligence; just empathy will usually get you out of the cult. Lacking both is a particularly dangerous combo; though so is intelligence and a lack of empathy. That’s how you get the psychopathic grifters at the top I guess.
I keep trying to find the standup that talks about America raising ignorant stupid people. Or was it proud ignorant people. Either way, I think it was Jim Jefferies but can’t find it.
A lot of con voters are just kinda dumb. Most people of any population never do any kind of self reflection or critical thinking, so for these people the fact that their parents would never support a dem is pretty much the entire basis for how they vote. A lot of them are plenty empathetic in their daily lives but they just never think about what their vote means.
