I’m skeptical that it’s less about belief in climate change and more about how they can reshape their policies to scrape off even more money from the citizenry.
shouldnt those kids be outside, and not in the classroom.
Too hot, risk of violent thunderstorms :(
Insurance companies: Stop selling homeowners policies in Florida
Republicans: “Oh no! Anyway…”
At least a large part of that is related to their other laws that enabled things like roofing scams to just bill whatever to insurance.
The amount of $30,000-45,000 temporary skrinkwrap tarps hundreds of miles from any given hurricane was insane until a couple years ago. Same with $25,000 flut cut demos, and $15,000 mold remediation, even for nonevents.
Just had a guy tell me yesterday that he’s gonna retire early soon, and the plan is to move to Florida. From upstate New York.
Self sorting.
the republicans have pretty much strongarmed the insurance, and forced them to sell there, but im think they are double or quadrupling the insurance cost in those area.
this goes the same in places like wildfire areas california, recent malibu fires where some of the rich peoples houses burnt down, everyone was like boohoo.
That’s because climate change is not a matter of believe. It’s just hard, cold, observable facts.
So don’t use the word ‘believe’. It plays right into their game.
