Sanders gave a very generic “Political Violence Bad” which is to be expected of an elected official.

Newsom had the neonazi on his podcast where they both agreed that trans people should lose basic rights and freedoms. After Kirk was murdered, he saintwashed Kirk and said that his work should be continued.

Newsom is a full-blown hateful bigoted rightist. He’s just a little more careful about keeping his mask on. Bernie condemns hate, inequity, and inequality and puts himself on the line when he needs to. Is he perfect? No, but he’s genuine. Both have shown their true colors to anyone casually watching.

So no, Newsom — the time-traveling neoliberal Republican movie villain from 1983 — does not got a pass and Bernie does.

Yes, obviously. You look at the context of the rest of their political positions to decide whether they deserve the benefit of the doubt.

You’re phrasing your question as if you’re implying an accusation of unfair bias, but it’s not unfair at all.

I don’t know, I haven’t followed Newsom’s statements. I just know Newsom is a neoliberal ghoul, and I would not have any hopes for statements from him.
