There’s a reason lemm.ee was the previous default instance.
It will be a community by community discussion. I mod a few lemm.ee communities, we’ll have separate polls in each of them.
I would say it’s worth it. Communities have moved to other instances after admin power tripping reports. Users have moved to other communities after mods power trips reports.

There is !opensource@programming.dev as an alternative, but you can’t fault Framasoft for not having enough knowledge of the Lemmy lore to pick that community over the .ml one
