The trend you are seeing with declining birth rates is a known phenomenon that arises when a developed country has proper healthcare and support for its people.When folks are more comfortable they have time to plan for their future and that plan includes children.

Ultimately we, as a species, want much lower birth rates than we have previously had because it will mean a tighter labor force that is paid more (and a lack of replacements to ensure employment at high wages) with cheaper house (smaller demand among buyers). A smaller birth rate also allows the country to take in immigrants that bring new ideas, new art, new music, and an incredible number of new foods. Immigrants are the best thing for a country’s development because they take low paying jobs and turn those into long standing families with deep roots in their community.

Calling a panic over a statistic that means the opposite of the reason to call a panic seems silly. Educate yourself and be a champion for positivity.
