imo, a magic ring that allows you to jump higher than you’re used to should absolutely require some falling damage or a check to see if you avoid it. the character isn’t used to this, doesn’t really know how to do it. its just been gifted temporarily.

he’s correct though, at least as far as i can tell with rules as written. you’d at least need an athletics check or dex save

Gonna recommend Red Markets again to everyone. There’s a bunch of stuff in there about like, negotiating new jobs and prices and stuff, which is cool, but the combat and everything is all boiled down to a single dice roll. One Black d10, one red d10. Add any modifiers, and if black is higher than red, you succeed. In combat, if it hits, the black shows how much damage and the red shows what body part. This makes combat soooooo much more fluid than most of the DnD games i’ve played.

Essentially, yeah. He’s a womanizer and his personality is “i need to fuck a new woman every night, and also have beer with my friends” through the entire series, and then they make him fall in love with one of the friends. Its a bad show. Not quite as bad as the big bang theory, but still quite awful

as DM, i’d allow this, but even a hint of unfriendly behavior is gonna suffer some debuffs. ya’ll better take a couple levels of paladin or something
