Doesn’t that break the whole purpose of podman (rootless containers)?

Give it a try :)

N0x0n@lemmy.mlto Selfhosted@lemmy.world•Best Free Mobile App for Streaming Self-Hosted Music?English0·1 month agoNavidrome + Tempo is probably the best experience I ever had on mobile !
However, Tempo hasn’t been updated for a few months now and hope the maintainer is doing okay?
Tried a few other alternatives but Tempo came out the best IMO !
That’s not an arsehole… It’s part of the fediverse cluster !!! (The asterism ⁂).
Just a message to bring up positive vibes. Keep up the good work and thank you for sharing your project with the community !
Edit: Nice to see you host your project on codeberg 👍

It really sucks to always have to relearn everything from the beginning… Now that I feel comfortable I have to relearn a new way to keep my homelab up and running.
Kinda understand how Plex people feel when someone tells them to switch over to jellyfin…Can’t wait to see Jellyfin or Arr stack going a similar route 😮💨😮💨!
Edit: Similar feeling goes toward Traefik… 😕🫤
N0x0n@lemmy.mlto Selfhosted@lemmy.world•GitHub - sergi0g/cup: 🥤Docker container updates made easyEnglish0·1 month agoGitea (or derivatives)
So also codeberg/forgejo?
I’m currently on WUD (what’s up docker) which has some great functionality like custom templates to link to the actual release note.
Does cup allow similar thing? How does it compare to WUD if you have tested both ?
Edit:
Thanks to What’s up Docker? for inspiring this project.
Ohhh yeah okay… So I will stay on WUD and keep an eye on cup in case WUD goes unmaintained !
N0x0n@lemmy.mlto Selfhosted@lemmy.world•Minio strips away almost all features from AGPL interface and suggests people use their licensed "AIStor" service insteadEnglish0·1 month agoMacOS hates webdav (And I do hate my Mac too !) And their implementation is outdated… Maybe I didn’t find the right configuration to make is work properly like samba shares (after some special/specific mac configuration on the samba server side it works like a charm !!) but whenever a file got updates in an automated way, it somehow goes poof and vanished from my server… Scary shit !
N0x0n@lemmy.mlto Selfhosted@lemmy.world•Self Hosted Youtube Indivious vs viewtubeEnglish0·2 months agoThey are the same thing (YouTube self-hosted frontend alternative) with their own features I guess?
You should test Piped, Indivious and Viewtube and make your own opinion, however Viewtube has been paused so this one is probably not going to have the SABR workaround update Piped and Invidious are working on ?
Right now they are all a bit janky and unstable because of YouTube’s new update (SABR, don’t know the details) so find one that works as self-hosted and keep tuned.
If you’re able to contribute as a dev though, give them some help to speed up the process and contribute to the best YouTube frontend alternatives projects !
Just use AuroraStore to avoid google play account. You can even pay the Symfonium creator through a hacky workarround and get your full access without Google Play.
That’s an official way you can read it on Symfoniums forum somwhere !
