I saw this the other day as well when i was looking at filebrowsers github looking into seeing if it had SSO support. It’s a shame really.
Just your normal everyday casual software dev. Nothing to see here.

I love games that do that, one of the mods for FO I used to use did that where the more you sell an item the less it’s worth for a bit, although I think I could switch areas and have that reset because I think it was per area
Fair, I sometimes will mod away(or adjust) weight limit, but I do like some form of realism in my games, so I keep the others.
I also wanna add that I refuse to mod it period until I have beaten it at least once how the devs intended it to be as well though.
further more, it seems from the translated article it’s exclusive to large items and refusal due to price difference. It says nothing about refusal for sale due to other means. I was skeptical of it as well because shops should be allowed to refuse sale if they choose to (with exceptions ofc)
Like what shop is going to authorize someone coming in and wiping the shelf clean of all of an item listed, it’s bad buisness because others will see it’s empty and say “well I guess I won’t shop here for that”
We ran into that issue with resellers during the pandemic so had to impose buying restrictions.
Yeah, this mechanic is pretty common in any decent RPG. I’ve always found it weird when I run into a RPG that doesn’t put a limit on how much you can sell. It removes a lot of the immersion when you can just dump 10k into a shop (or give the clear grocery merchant armor and swords lol)
I vet lesser known projects, but yea I do end up just taking credibility for granted for larger projects. I assume that with those projects, the maintainers team with pull access is doing that vetting before they accept a pull.
Yeah, DVD players and Blu-ray players are going the way of the VHS player. It’s becoming increasingly difficult to find one that isn’t super locked down by some form of DRM and just works.
And if you’re trying to find one for computers, forget about it. You spend an arm and a leg trying to find anything that isn’t just your typical DVD only, no Blu-ray or 4K. Blu-ray is a little more pricey, but any type of actual 4K player for computers, you’re spending $$$ unless you’re willing to try to patch it with a custom firmware.
It doesn’t make sense but it happens constantly, especially in low-level environments Where Heads Are a dime a dozen, it’s usually not straight out being terminated however it’s done in the case of yeah you did everything perfectly but we can’t financially afford to give you a higher rating than average. Which does more or less the same thing cuz it tells the employee well it’s time to go elsewhere so they’re going to be doing training costs anyway
I agree, I set my grandparents doors up on a timer, if its still open at 11 PM it auto closes both doors. I’ve got the ping a few times now saying “emergency door schedule activated” meaning that they were open and had not been closed prior.
