They weren’t toxic when I was growing up with them. It was only when we all got to be drinking age and I didn’t want to partake in any of it that the toxic behavior started.

don’t play games like that in a relationship. Say what you mean. If you’re feeling bad, say what’s wrong, don’t make your girlfriend/wife or husband/boyfriend play a guessing game, get right to the point and spell it out.
