I feel like if you had put half the time and effort it took to do this into improving yourself and going outside you could have at least gone on some dates with real women at this point. Ngl I totally understand this one. When you’re Russia it’s not like you have a lot of options for international partners and the Taliban are straight up the government of Afghanistan. It’s kind of awkward to try to make trade deals with one of the only countries still willing to trade with you when all of its leaders and officials are considered members of a banned terrorist organization. I suppose this is an issue any time there is a revolution, once the radicals are the actual government everyone has to re-evaluate how to deal with them.

I feel like there are a lot of dimensions to this. I am a huge proponent of manufacturing, but yeah a lot of factory jobs suck. The problem is, they don’t have to. Modern factories are way better than old ones, and could be even better if we as a culture prioritized making jobs less soul crushing rather than access to cheap shit. I also feel like people who haven’t worked in manufacturing don’t really understand what it’s like in a modern facility. I think there’s this idea that it’s working at an assembly line or going out and turning a bunch of valves all the time but nowadays 99% of it is just sitting at a computer watching numbers. I wouldn’t want to be on the floor at my current job but I’ve worked other places where it seems a hell of a lot better than most other jobs available to non college grads.

Another issue is that modern manufacturing sites are super automated. Very few people actually work at them, at least the ones in America. You can have a plant that makes millions of pounds of plastic a year that employs 60-70 people, which is less than a typical Walmart.

The problem is that 35% of the country believes him and 15% aren’t sure. You will never convince the 35%. They could be eating rat soup to survive and they’d still insist Trump is a great president who has done wonders for the economy because “the economy” is just an abstract, almost metaphysical concept to them like a ritual state and it is being purified of the evil spirits of “woke” and “dei” so it’s in its proper order.

Legitimate question- do you know any IRL? I am convinced that these people will stand by Trump no matter what. I live in a Trump heavy district and everyone is talking about how hard this is but how it’s all actually a genius negotiating tactic. They truly cannot believe that Trump isn’t their Savior.

Except in this case the emperor and all of his advisors have been telling people for months all about how he wanted to go around naked insisting that he is wearing clothing, and all of the dumbass peasants truly believe he’s wearing a beautiful new outfit in spite of the obvious fact that he’s running around naked.

If things don’t recover by the time I retire I have bigger things to worry about than retirement.
