Same for me, I just knew it because I stumbled across it recently.
Well, tbf, AMD is at least a little bit better than Intel. They are even worse.
I fucking want proper, block based naming back

Tbh, as someone who just built their own system I am a little bit angry that they didn’t announce it a few months earlier - I would have waited a bit longer then to see their pricing.
The specs are solid for a “Proxmox NAS with ZFS and containers”. For a regular NAS it’s oversized, but we all know that. The trend towards integrated devices is there and I went down that way as well.(And if you can actually install a different OS of course)
Anyway: If they can deliver what they promise it might be one of the most interesting systems - it doesn’t have many of the issues the Ugreens have (lack of ECC,etc.) and if they manage to deliver… it’s pushing into a space a lot of prosumers and small companies are that is currently only covered by self builds or spending much more money than necessary.
They list the AI 9 Hx Pro 370 which does support ECC.
Bitwarden is absolutely solid,yes.
Local server wise: If OP uses it in a local only setup behind a proper VPN implementation from my point of view the risk is acceptable. It’s not that hard to secure a home server in a way that Vaultwarden is not at risk - and when you’re so compromised that it is, then the attacker can easily use other vectors to gain the same data (RAt,keyloggers, etc.)
mam?
Yeah, but can we please leave Venice intact doing that? Without the tourists it’s a nice little city to be honest, and its inhabitants have suffered enough.
Maybe Marghera?
Yeah, a friend of mine literally told them “I’d rather let you fire me than end up in El Salvador”.
They didn’t fire him. The US client was infuriated, but now they meet in Canada or London.
Especially as his brother was with him on the flight.
That is another level of gruesomeness.
Yeah, absolutely, AI has issues- that’s why I narrowed my “Boeings fa**ult” down to electronics/software. There isn’t too much maintenance they can fuck up in that department that can kill both engines(afaik). In other parts like fuel, fuel distribution, etc? Totally different.
My bet is still on sometimes with the fuel, though. Maybe water in the fuel.
No. Faults often don’t get detected early, need certain circumstances (swiss cheese model) or quite simply, are caused by replacement parts. There is a long chain of things that could fall into Boeing responsibility - and even if it doesn’t the market does not always react reasonably.
Wake turbulence requires something to cause the wake - usually another aircraft. Additionally wake turbulences autoregulate themselves - they don’t stay “in the air” but rather disperse rather fast, especially close to the ground. VAAH is a pretty small airport that has no continual taxiway(which they once had,for some strange reason) so aircraft need to backtrack(Basically go in the wrong direction on the RW, then do a U-Turn) at the end of the runway if they go for a take-off runway of RW23.This leads to a long time for any wake turbulence to disperse.
Additionally the 787 is a mighty big aircraft and mostly wake turbulences affect aircraft that are smaller than the ones which caused it. (This is of course not fully accurate, but it gets complicated then) And the 787 is absolutely powerful enough to power through basically any wake turbulence.
Last but not least there was not a starting aircraft directly before the flight but a (very small) landing one - so even more time for any wake to disperse.
So in the end I would be pretty damn sure it wasn’t that.
Yeah,I am not sure if there is a safety interlock with Boeing RATs(and the video is really bad)…so it might be intentional.
It’s strange. Personally I currently go with water in the fuel system as the “most likely guess by a armchair pilot”(me),but wouldn’t also be surprised being it an electronic error. When that would be the case Boeing would be fucked beyond repair, imho.
Definitely not.
Yeah, it’s rather strange. There is another one from a perspective where the aircraft almost “overflew” the cameraman (basically at a 5’o clock angle)- it shows them having aileron and elevator control right until they crash. And while the quality is poor, I am somewhat convinced that the RAT has not deployed (yet?)
A bird strike would likely have caused something visible So it doesn’t sound like hydraulics or fuel(water in the fueltanks?) or something electronic wise with the engine control. Strange and sad.
Well, can the man not go to the international slave owner fair without being pointed at?
Old PCs often have that problem. My “NAS” is more a full on proxmox server with an AM5 CPU, 64GB ECC and yet it halved my power consumption compared to its predecessors.
Easiest way is to use a tasmota based power plug. They need to calibrated once, but then are pretty reliable and can be found for 15 bucks.
Nous A1T (or similar nous, but watch out for the T at the end, Z is zigbee) is popular in central europe. They are well built and cheap as fuck. But again, they need to be calibrated once which you need a steady user (e.g an old incandescent light bulb ) and a multimeter for… It’s easy and only needs to be done once.
Another option are the Inter-Tech PDUs, they costs around a 100 Bucks, are fully IP, can switch channels but only measure the consumption of the whole strip. If you have a more advanced USV they often have a total power consumption measurement.
If you want to go all in you need to look for “switched and metered” PDUs, but they are fucking expensive. The Cyberpower PDU81005 is the cheapest “good” one and is over 400 bucks here . So… Most people won’t do that, even in a professional setting.
Don’t get me wrong, I am not a fan of the KSA government (really) - but I do work in disaster preparedness/planning and that also includes crowd management. And from that perspective the Hajj is pretty impressive. The conditions even outside the worst summer heat are extreme, the crowd has often only minimal education, there is a huge language barrier, people tend to be somewhat vacantly.
Read up on it, it’s quite interesting.
Tbh, the Saudis do put in a lot of effort to provide at least some protection. And their infrastructure is mostly temporary. But if you have tens of thousands of people extra it’s not that easy to protect them as well - when you already shelter millions.
Well, just Privateer for a non signing faction or nation then
