Superman probably doesn’t need as much raw materials as a planet-wide supply of solar panels. It seems like copper is currently the biggest issue, and one that isn’t easily solved by switching to other renewable energy sources.

And IMO that article is missing information about how long those magnetic spinning disks last if you keep them powered off most of the time, like tapes.

I’d like to point out that shows like My Hero Academia are aimed at highschoolers. I think the sexualization in MHA is not a big deal if you don’t watch is an adult.

The pitfalls of mixing culinary categories and scientific (botanical) categories. We have to ask ourselves the hard questions: If you were an anthropomorphic fruit, would you refer to yourself with culinary or scientific categories?
Aren’t we already living in a post scarcity society in terms of economic output? Our only real limit is currently that we are using up natural resources too fast, but that would be greatly mitigated by cutting down on billionaires and a couple of other extremely wasteful activities.
