The problem is that even 27% couldn’t stop the colonizers from further destroying the nature.
Even if all Maori voted for them, they only would have 19%. That means they would still not be able to have political power.
The system is rigged, giving the huge number of colonizers an advantage over the native population. Australia has a similar problem.
Why wouldn’t they then measure testosterone levels instead? What if a trans man fights a woman, because he has a vagina? Is that a fair fight?
Focussing on those is a distraction, that you can engage in, if it makes you feel better (and maybe you’ll reach minor improvements for some discriminated group), but once you realize that capitalism is the problem, you’ll realize that solving that problem would also remove all other forms of discrimination that were brought to us by capitalists to divide us.
