I believe it could be true, but why would anyone bother. No one’s measuring the things. They could just say they were. I mean who’s going to try to prove how many feet below the surface they are buried. So if the flag pole is 80ft above the surface and 10% below like a standard bury, it’s 88ft. Don’t understand why you would make them taller than the white house though.
Nah I get it, would have bothered me if I re-read what I wrote. 8.8. I just meant no one is going to measure above or below and such. The old shifty decimal deci system make it easy math thing haha.
Side note there was a large pole like that in front of the office building I worked at. Huge metal pole. The flag was taken down before a hurricane, the hole thing came down anyways. Bent and snapped. To be fair the entire building was fucked as well. Made the front page of the newspapers in LA. Never a good thing to hear on the east coast
Not to mention the new flagpoles at the white House, both measuring 88 feet.
Yes, it sounds like it’s not real, but you’ll find it easy in a search
What
The
FUCK???

They do things like this to send a message and demonstrate power.
10% of 88ft is not 8ft. 8ft would be 10% of 80ft. Sorry to be pedantic, it just bugs me.
