We’re talking about Superman here … he would be giving himself up to these idiots because he doesn’t agree with them and doesn’t want to cause unnecessary death, destruction or damage involving innocent lives.
Then he’ll come back later to destroy their fascist government
And so begins his anti-hero arc murdering millions of fascists until he becomes Homelander.
That is EXACTLY what happened in the movie, nothing subtle about it.
OTOH, filming started almost a year before Trump was back in (02/24), but damn was the movie spot on for what’s happening now. Wonder how much they changed to fit the times. Couldn’t have been too much that late in the game? I know jack about Hollywood production.
