I want to see her take more media. I don’t think she’s as prepared many other potential candidates (Khanna is a good correllary). She’s been able to stick to very safe media spaces and that won’t fly in a campaign. Right now she’s the best option, but I’d rather see more competitive options to sharpen her. I’m also not super impressed with her last 2 years as a representative. She’s developing some… bad habits when it comes to triangulation.
I also think Platner could run. They take much harder media interviews. I think Khanna could run. I also think there are some potential candidates out of Minnesota, what with their ability to show leadership during the ICE campaign there, like Jacob Frey.
AOC has been a bit of a disappointment as she’s become more comfortable in her seat. I don’t really get the uncritical cheerleading,.although I have come to expect it. AOCs political instincts went from great in 2018 to very not good in the previous year, and instinct really matters.
