    You can blame the wealthy all you want, and they are generally a detriment to our society, but our politics are the way they are because of our populace. Our politics are a reflection of our populace.

    If Americans overwhelmingly voted against this, then there’s nothing the oligarchs could have done about it.

    We, as a people, failed.

        Showing up to vote is important to minimizing harm and building out our movements. We know more about what 3rd party voters want than non voters (majority block for several cycles)

          Edit: Sorry, I thought you were the person that I responded to. So I took your comment in that context. I probably don’t really disagree with what you said in isolation. But I’m just leaving it now.

          So, you think voting will still matter in 2028? At what point of fascist control will you finally pack up and say “well, shit I guess the only thing I did in Nazi America was go to the polls everytime I could. I was definitely resisting fascism by participating it’s entirely fair voting system”

          Like, I can understand building working class solidarity around local elections. But if all you’re doing is electoral politics for the next 3.5 years that’s just mental.
