I have to give it to biden over obama on how much was done in the first term. Not fully prosecuting Trump and his team made everything he did frosting on a shit sandwich. It doesn’t matter. He failed to rise to the challenge of the moment thinking “Covid & economy” were the issue but the reason they were the issue was because of Trump.
and the reason you have to say fully is because he was prosecuting but unlike trump he did not fire people willy nilly who were not doing exactly what he wanted and worked within the system. Stalling on court cases, dragging out development on clean energy, bureaucratic procedural nonsense. The governments ability to get anything done is a huge part of the reason people voted for Trump. I already listed several of the good things done. We are increasingly going in the wrong direction but anything that is not democracy within a framework of law and rights is a non starter for me.

Democracy is pretty great but it’s clear the laws and framework we have don’t support democracy in the idea of what is popular is what we’ll have.
Most of what we have does support democracy but its the enforcement which is dictatorship. congress does not impeach trump the courts make decisions ignoring all precedence. Rulings like citizens united and laws like the patriot act are poison pills mucking up the well along with the important regulations being removed like taking out keystones from the structure.
