Because if they do develop them and threaten to use them, it’s the only way to stop you from attacking them. If Iran has nukes, then Israel has no reason to attack and a good reason to pursue peace for once in its entire existence.
They’ll change their tune when/if Iran can actually wipe them off the map, but not a day before.

What even is an unauthorized nuke? Every nation either is or isn’t a sovereign nation.
I’m guessing this is in regards to the international nuclear non-proliferation treaty.
I mean, yes, while I want nuclear weapons to go the way of the waste bin, just as much as everyone else. You cant expect anybody to see whats happened to Ukraine and think, yeah, let’s get rid of our nuclear capability. Nuclear deterance does seem to work.

They wanted to use Israel as a proxy against Egypt, so they helped them develop nukes almost immediately after Israel was created.
If France launched a nuke at Egypt, they’d get one back.
So the plan was Israel would use a nuke if it came to it, then take the consequences while Europe escaped unscathed.
Iran getting a nuke has always been imminent to the story necessary to Netanyahu, to him we are just in the last few frames of the last scene before it has cut to the next plot point, the reason he has been acting like an angry hate baby for all this time is the story has been paused (because it is a shit story) and we just unpaused it.

If you want to play the blame game, the blame falls on everyone.
