Even Trump knows that relying on the Russians to get to the ISS would be a bad look for America.

I don’t think that’s true actually, it’s a huge prestige project for the US, and it would be very embarrassing to lose it.
Elon’s response of “good luck getting to the ISS” was a pretty solid comeback to this.
We’re talking about safety equipment, not her fashion choices.
Yes, you probably should be wearing a life jacket on deck. Although the boat may be at anchor, in which case it would be pretty easy for her to climb back on.

It really is. I also think a lot of the power users here just aren’t that bright, to be honest.
If you don’t already understand what I’m saying, I don’t think me explaining it further will help.
Are these people working with repeat offenders though? Or those going through the system for the very first time?
This has to be the most Lemmy comment I’ve ever seen.
I realise I may be pissing into the wind here, but people don’t typically stop at one crime. If you catch the person who did it, that stops them from carrying on doing crimes.
Of course, social programs also help.
You have missed the point in spectacular fashion.
The issue isn’t who will work in the factories, it’s who will support the elderly population if there are so few people working. In any society, the old are supported by the young.

Ilovethebomb@lemm.eeto World News@lemmy.world•New Zealand MPs who performed haka in parliament given unprecedented punishmentEnglish0·29 days agoThe Maori party favour theatrics over results, and always have. One of the most notable examples, there was a motion in the house to change the dress code, which the speaker asked if anyone wanted to second. Nobody did.
The next day, one of their MPs was ejected from the house for not wearing a tie.

So yes, it was pretty bad.
Wasn’t the person he ran over not even on the same police force?
There’s a good reason Trump has won an election twice, and it’s because the people he’s running against are incapable of the type of introspection you just described. Their supporters, even less so.
His actions recently have shown he very much cares about public opinion, it’s why he’s been flip flopping on tariffs so much.
