here it’s reversed. blank votes are counted separately, meaning that you want to participate but no option is good. abstaining means you don’t care.

maybe it’s because i grew up with vhs first but dvd always felt like a lot of hassle compared to just “put it in and watch”
i mean the character also specifically says they’re evil.
plastic recycling is a way of producers to shift blame onto consumers and has been shown to not affect new plastic production basically at all, because recycled plastic just makes for worse plastic.
environmentalism is good, but plastic recycling is not going to make the world better.
like, with 12 sides?
oh absolutely, it’s fascinating to hear a perspective i didn’t know existed.
i ripped all my dvds specifically to get rid of the menus because they were slow, hard to use, and full of frustrating animations. they usually just felt like an afterthought.
i’ve never been one to be swayed by extras, it usually just feels akin to jingling keys to get me to buy shit. maybe i’m weird.
i’ve never heard of anyone that keeps dvd menus around. like, i get it for archival purposes but i would never want to actually navigate a menu when i want to watch something. in my mind it’s like sitting through the commercials on a rented vhs. i would probably store a converted copy as well, in a format that would let me specify from the application what track and subtitle i want so i can set a default.
my family used to run a business that imported products from american companies specialising in things like hand loading (basically making your own ammunition). just before we got out of the business, around 15 years or so, one of the bigger actors (starts with an H, guy named steve runs it), they introduced a zombie-themed line of products, including ammunition cases, fake blood spattered bandoliers, and targets.
just… human targets. with zombie print on them. for civilian use.
to say that they just did this in order to be able shoot people without consequence might be judging too harshly… if we hadn’t met steve.
do you use a premade compose file or did you write your own? i started out my own but it quickly got very complicated…
i only ever saw that one arc as well, what has apparently later been dubbed “season zero” because there wasn’t any card games in it. that was something they apparently came up with on the fly and it just stuck around. the writers didn’t know anything about tcgs so the rules make no sense.
that first season is wild though, with the protagonist just challenging bad people to random games of chance with gruesome outcomes like “because you are greedy, i challenge you to stab through this wad of cash lying on top of your hand. you get to keep every dollar you pick up but if you’re too greedy you’ll nail your hand to the table”
…oh the truck bed
it took a while though… they managed to poison one or tvo communities already.
really, this is a failure of government. they should have verified that the service provider lived up to their claims.
is that the bitconnect guy?
i think their point was that people do this stuff to hide it from algorithms so that it doesnt get removed by the platform, when algorithms can easily read the covered text anyway
that’s why his mum said no
you know all the shootings that have been reported from sweden the past few years?
