I don’t have any experience with police in Europe but in North America you would give them a paid vacation till things blow over and perhaps shuffle them around to another dept and let them spoil another bunch.

Nah they are totally just going to spin up steel mills in no time. All steel is the same and the mills just hang out waiting to be used so bringing them back on line would be no problem!
