Only one thing: Why should somebody who’s over 60, but otherwise would answer any single other question with “no”, not be allowed to stay off of social media as well?
Additionally, why does age have anything to do with any of these questions? This feels like it was made by someone who doesn’t have much experience with other humans and is unaware of the massive variety of opinions and attitudes among all age groups.

People above a certain age should begin to avoid social media and stick with more private forms of communication like email, phone calls, signal messages and f2f discussions. Once your ability to tell fact from fiction deteriorates enough, announcing your opinions publicly becomes increasingly problematic.

Not sure whether it means something else in English, but in french a vernissage is the first opening of an art exhibition

That did a surprisingly incomplete job of answering the question, if I’m being honest.
I think it’s well described there, way better than Lemmy and most other fediverse things.
It’s a photo sharing site using ActivityPub for the federation, but it’s not Pixelfed.
What’s the logo with the devilish “G” for? I might need to migrate away from Mastodon for that platform.

Yeah, Gnusocial matches the body text they listed. Never used it, so can’t give any insight
Went to their website, clicked on the link that said “Click here to see the popular GnuSocial sites you can join”, and it showed a completely empty list. That seems indicative of something. :)
I think the network kind of faded away. Even the FSF shutter their instance: https://status.fsf.org/
I ran an instance a long time ago, back when quitter.se was the main instance.
