Since Palantir has all the voting registrations linked to all the social security numbers, Musk raided and kept all our sensitive data, and the age of the draft has gone up, how much you want to bet the government suddenly drafts only the younglings who happen to be a Democrat to fight and die in his war?

The drafts throughout history in many countries have always been done this way to varying degrees. It is partially seen as a way to mow the lawn as the elite class would see it. Whoever the undesirables are at that point in time get to go into the meat grinder first. Most recently, Russia has done this in Ukraine… Sending convicts, minority groups, poor people, etc, to the front line. Modern systems now would allow specific targeting of a draft to political opponents, specific areas of certain groups, and so on.

There is a problem with that.

Data from early 2025 indicated that voters aged 18 to 21 favored Republicans by roughly 12 points, a sharp contrast to those aged 22-29, who continued to lean Democratic.

So they need to make sure to only draft 22-29 if they truly want to try to skew elections.

I wonder how much that has skewed - and very much for the typical narcissistic reasons - since then. But yeah, if they go by old data, they may find they have to “draft” older people.

Good point, I think that the draft would be incredibly unpopular as well and likely change people’s perception if instituted.
