Musk stepped down from his role in government this week as his contracted time as a special government employee came to an end, and has lamented the criticism aimed at the cost-cutting agency and the reputational damage his companies took.

Musk was asked about the New York Times article in an appearance at the White House alongside Trump on Friday. “Is that the same publication that got a Pulitzer Prize for false reporting on the Russiagate?” he replied, referring to claims that Trump had been compromised by Russia during his 2016 presidential election victory. “Is it the same organisation? Let’s move on.”

    I don’t like this theory, cause it implies that everything he has done is because of the drugs, and not because he’s a megalomaniac narcissistic greedy moron.

        But people with Narcissistic Personality Disorder (and related Cluster B disorders) have been known to come out of the psychedelic experience with an even bigger egomaniacal God complex than they had going into the experience, counterintuitively.

          Yeah, that makes sense now that I think about it. I used to think it would make them more sympathetic and empathetic towards people other than their selves, but that’s clearly not the case for everyone.

      My theory is that his PR people are “leaking” these stories that he can rebuild his image as a recovering addict. This will let them craft a sympathetic story and they will hope that we’ll forget that he’s a racist asshole.
