They know what they are doing. This is called “Hypernormalization” and this is how Putin orchestrated the oligarch takeover in Russia.
Here is an excerpt from a great documentary and it sums this up in about 4 minutes.
The gist is that once the firehose of falsehoods are in full effect, they will start funding and participating in rival political groups, and then even admit it later. The ultimate goal is to make everyone fed up with politics and checkout. The AI and social media issues are going to make this even worse now.
That’s the beauty of being a partisan.
