I thought I could take this down after the election, apparently not.

Articles from trusted sources are absolutely welcome.

The usual lemmy.world rules apply too:
No calls for violence. Full stop.
We’re seeing an uptick in trolling already, trolls will be banhammered without warning.
Thanks for your work especially on this day as the free world lost the USA.
Rename this US Politics please. Nothing daily posted about my Australian politics. Also the logo is American.
!world@lemmy.world is for non-US News and Politics.
politics@lemmy.us should be about US politics… America isn’t the world.
!world@lemmy.world is intentionally set up as a US free zone to distinguish it from !news@lemmy.world and !politics@lemmy.world
Yeah, it sucks though that for 95.5% of “the world” we don’t even have distinct politics or news subs in an instance called lemmy.world. I’d really like to find a place where I can read about the politics or news of the actual whole world (including the US) and ironically none of these are that.
The problem is, that the minute you include US politics in the feed, it becomes all Trump/Musk top to bottom and there’s no room for anything else to breathe. :(
My pet interest is Myanmar since my daughter in law is from there, but even that gets drowned out in !world@lemmy.world due to Ukraine and Gaza.
Why is this site called “politics”, but you can only talk about politics in the USA?
Because it was created as a place for US politics. !world@lemmy.world was created as the US free zone.
Combining the two creates a US dominated space where world events get buried under US news and politics.
Oh, really? :D That’s funny, since lemmy.world seems to be full of US-related stuff. Oh well. Thanks for the info, and have a nice day!
I’m not going to make a call for violence, but I want to point out the hypocrisy here. The rich have chosen violence every day of our and their lives, yet we plebes have to be civil about it? Taking the high road hasn’t done us any favors, and it’s about time we learn from that lesson.
