I don’t get that. It just was not hard for me at all. Even if you were absolutely convinced Trump would lose, you’ve had months of him and all of his people just outright admitting they don’t care about the law both before and after the election. It was a foregone conclusion to me the first Wednesday in November.
Think of it as a mask. All your life you’ve had it on because you were taught to believe it. It’s how society functions, right?

It’s about an alternate history where Britain has been taken over by a puppet Nazi government. Everyone just kind of moves on with their life and accepts it like nothing has changed. Being able to afford to get out is not the problem. Unfortunately, the problem is that I need to make at least £28,000 a year while in the UK in order for them both to get a family visa. But I appreciate the suggestion and I agree. Unfortunately, there’s not much that can be done. She can come over with a visitor visa for six months, but the house has to be sold first.

I’ll jump in here and point out that the militarism decried in the song is one of the less-applicable criticisms of Trump. If anything the criticism is that he’s too willing to take Putin’s side, not that he’d lead us to nuclear war. At least not intentionally.
If you want a more Trump-appropriate 80s punk song to select lyrics from I might suggest “Kill the poor” by the Dead Kennedys (referring to the apocryphal notion of using neutron bombs to eliminate the poors without harming property values). Although honestly if you wanna get some proper hot takes on maga you’ll do best dispensing with the 80s entirely and going with NOFX.
