This is going to piss Trump off more than anything else Mamdani’s done.

Obama’s probably just recognizing the way the wind is blowing and wanting to maintain influence over the Democrats. I guess I’m fine with it if he uses his fame to amplify people like Mamdani.

      Bullshit.

Obama’s gonna do the same thing he always does… pretend to be progressive with “hope and change” but then just try to push for more centrist approaches to policy proposals.

100% chance he’s going to try to influence Madani to “moderate” his positions somehow.

When Bernie Sanders looked like he was potentially going to overtake Biden right before Super Tuesday in the 2020 primary, Obama made a bunch of last minute calls to ensure the neoliberal wagons were circled around Biden.

Don’t forget one of the first things Obama was publicly seen doing out of office was going kitesurfing with that billionaire guy who owns Virgin Airlines - Richard Branson.

The guy is incredibly charismatic, but don’t forget when Obama ran first in 2008, he was only a junior senator with little voting record to back up that he was as progressive as he proclaimed to be.

Obama dissolved his grassroots support network right after getting elected his first term.

I don’t trust Obama to do anything except acquiesce when we need a leader to push hard for something more egalitarian… and to “go high” to achieve hollow symbolic moral victories and losing with “dIgNiTy” while the other side gleefully keeps ACTUALLY winning materially for their side by “going low.”

Is he gonna ask Obama to stop bombing civilians, cause it’s a little late for that shit.
