Gerrymandering is a time honored electoral tradition for Republicans.
It’s the system working as conservatives intended.
All that kinda went down the drain with “Russia, if you’re listening.” They’ve forced us to rely on the very voting mechanisms they seek to undermine.
Laws are a social contract and don’t mean shit unless enforced.
The only legal mechanism for holding power accountable is the vote. Once that’s taken away, you either accept subjugation or you don’t. But the latter isn’t legal and that doesn’t sit right with a lot of folks.
And a lot of people don’t want to risk death fighting against professional soldiers, either.
