    Away from China’s what? China being basically an information blackhole and their foreign policy not being very flashy means there’s usually little to pay attention to in the first place.

      Well, the non-flash policy rarely makes any friends. Everyone in the region hates them, except North Korea, which is run by people who might actually spend more time in China. And when it comes to Taiwan I’d say it is flashy.

      China’s foreign policy is basically “play whatever side makes the most sense for China”.

      Their pattern of behavior shows an end goal of economically dominating the planet. Fully replacing the United States and Europe.

      China is also obviously looking at ways to create a military that can compete against the U.S./NATO dominance. They need some teeth to back up their economic pushes.
