There really needs to be a community called “jesusfuckingchristAmerica”
SCOTUS to mandate cross burning
Just when you think, it couldn’t possibly get any more absurd.
Wait. There are still people who doubt this timeline’s consistently proven penchant for exponential fuckery? Are they one of those no-contact tribes? (Although, I’ve always wondered if those tribes were as much isolationist as “nah, fuck all of your world -we’re good.”)
Let me skip to the future decision for you: yes 6-3

Reality really is stranger than fiction sometimes.
Society tends to repeat on approximately 80-100 year cycles. Just long enough for the generations affected by bullshit to lose their voices and die.
Society tends to repeat on approximately 80-100 year cycles.
American society. And it’s been closely shown to hold since when America attacked Canada, of all places.
Other countries have their own cycles. Consider the 11-year Canada goose purge cycle that affects your friends to the north. It’s not spoken of but, like seal clubbing, a periodic culling is required to prevent them invading and burning the Library of Parliament and goosey sanchez-ing the last copy of the Declaration upon Dependence. It’s a little backward up there.
And western society though there is reason to dismiss the theory as pseudoscientific
Spy magazine ran a great cartoon back in the early '90s which I can’t find anywhere online. It was captioned “Clarence Thomas greets the day” and it showed him bending down on his front porch to pick up the newspaper with a negro stable boy lawn statue next to him.

This is already illegal.
Racial profiling is considered illegal in the United States as it violates the 14th Amendment’s equal protection clause, which guarantees all individuals protection from discrimination based on race or ethnicity.
Also, if there is no suspicion of a crime, it is illegal to detain someone. Otherwise that’s kidnapping.
These issues have been litigated many times.
Wow, I really don’t have any confidence they will get this one right.
Why do you assume incompetence when evil has seemed more appropriate since pretty much forever?
For real, casting this off a a lil oopsie is doing way more harm than realizing these people want you dead for nothing more than knowing that they’re full of shit.
Resist.
Wasn’t this already decided when they ruled that stop-and-frisk laws were unconstitutional due to racial profiling?
Lol. You think this court cares what happened in 2013?
Only if it happened in 1862.
The court doesn’t give a fuck about anything but being corrupt at this point.
Why respect precedent when you can just make a new one and get bribed for it?
It’s called a “gratuity” now instead of a bribe. I guess the SCOTUS was feeling left out watching the other two branches make money hand over fist and decided to legalize it.
Edit: apparently the difference is getting paid after or before whatever “service” is provided.
Stare Decisis is for suckers.
Blindly following precedent without reason, maybe…but applying the law without any form of consistency isn’t helpful either. Rulings need to be fair, across the board. They can’t wildly swing from one precedent to another, depending on the individual whims of whichever judge is currently deciding a case.
That’s exactly what’s happening now, with the current Supreme Court…and look at how that’s going.
I wasn’t suggesting it, that phrase is an older conservative trope from legal blog from 20 years ago that is clearly motivating the current Supreme Court. (The current strict scrutiny podcast references it too in a clearly sarcastic tone as well)
They can’t wildly swing from one precedent to another, depending on the individual whims of whichever judge is currently deciding a case.
They can and they are.
That’s why I responded the way I did to the guy that said, “Stare Decisis is for suckers”.
The current Supreme Court is not adhering to precedent. Without that adherence, no decision is final. Every established law can simply be reinterpreted again and again, without any consistency.
I wonder which way they will go…
How is this even up for debate? It’s like we went 100+ years in the past 🤦♂️
We’ve been here before. Looking Jewish, sounding Jewish, being where Jews might live or be, doing jobs that Jews might do.

So, where will that leave Puerto Rican people? Puerto Rico is part of the Untied States but the people look foreign
Come one man, you know where because it’s already happening.
Puerto Rican? Mexican.
Mediterranean? Mexican.
Native American? Mexican.
We have the whitest populace cause of jail.
Dude, as an Asian American I’ve had quite a few times I’ve been called a Mexican.
Sometimes, I don’t even know why the state option is popular in Puerto Rico. It definitely is; they’ve had two official but non-binding referendum on this in the recent past, and the statehood option was a clear winner. Won by good margins over both maintaining current status or going independent.
Ultimately, I think it should be up to the people of PR to decide what they want to do, but geeze, this isn’t a great time to join the Union.
They made a huge mistake with POTUS the first time by not sending their children to felate him when he showed up to throw paper towels after hurricane Maria.
The only way for Puerto Rico to become a state is if they all turned Republican and white.
To be fair, they’re already part of the Union whether they want to or not, it’s more a matter of if they get to have political representation or not.
Are you saying they are experiencing taxation without representation?
As are Guam and American Samoa (they don’t have birthright citizenship)
2/3s vote! Because brown.
Oh joy.
This court. Deciding if cops can openly be racist.
I wonder how they will rule. Lmao.
We know how this is going to go with the court’s record lately. It is just Trump’s lapdogs jumping when he tells them too.
