English is by and large the most spoken language in the US. There are more English speakers than all other languages combined. How is it overgenerous to refer to the US as an English speaking country?

Aside from politics, the US has a ton to offer for someone that wants to experience the world. The Rockies, Appalachian trail, Great plains, deserts, huge rivers and lakes, and a bunch of other natural beauties. Not that mountains and bodies of water don’t exist elsewhere, but when it comes to nature, there’s something for anyone that likes being out doors.
From a tourist side of things, places like Disney World, Universal, Las Vegas, New York City, and others just don’t have the same thing elsewhere. I’m more into the nature side, but lot’s of people really enjoy the big cities and amusement parks. The Rockies also offer some of the best snowboarding and skiing in the world, and there’s only 1 Appalachian trail.
Too bad politics makes all of that less safe for foreigners and is actively enshitifying nature.
Conservatives and religion. There’s also a strong overlap between the two.
Watching colleagues commit genocide sounds an awful lot like being an accomplice to genocide.
It sounds like those doctors’s opinions may not be enough to overturn to conviction. I thought it also said that their assessment was pretty much over one specific area regarding where air was injected and it’s not encompassing all of the evidence presented in the case. Too me it sounds like a weak argument, but that’s based solely on this article with minimal background information.
I hope that bitch loses so bad. Slept her way to the top in the military and has as much credibility as a senator.
Queue the Curb Your Enthusiasm music.
You’d think that even with as delusional as they are, the establishment Democrats that are also taking shots at Mamdani would be able to see how much the Republicans are scared of him and the weapon he is. They’ll still fuck it up, but it couldn’t be more clear the path they should follow.
No religious body should ever receive federal money for anything short of a natural disaster to repair their assets. Jews, Baptists, Muslims, Buddhists, etc… they’re all the same in my eyes, and should be in the eyes of the government. They are all fucking loony toons that believe in ghosts, and that shit has no place in law and government. Let them fail for their beliefs or grow up and join and evolve with society.
His health can’t fail fast enough. The stroke unfortunately failed. I’m not saying that it didn’t change his views as there is precedent with Phineas Gage, but if I suffer a stroke and survive only to be a dog shit human, I’d prefer if I didn’t survive in the first first place. For the betterment of humanity, the stroke should have finished the job, but instead we’re stuck with a Nazi in denial.
Voting third party in the general election is nothing more than a performative action that directly benefits the worst candidate. Those of us that held our noses and voted for Kamala did so with the recognition that there is a problem, but we were also smart enough to know that the general is not where major changes happen.
I’d have everyone vote for their ideal candidate in the primaries, and then vote for the best viable candidate I’m the general.
Acting like you did something good by voting third party is akin to puffing up your chest and acting like tough shit, when all your doing is standing funny and looking like an idiot with a big chest.
Better than those idiots that thought voting for Trump, voting 3rd party, or not voting at all was somehow the better option and that less people would suffer than under Harris, or the lesser evil.
Not with Trump’s cock and balls in their mouths.
They’ll still fall in line next election and vote Republican though. Ain’t nobody hates an immigrant more than another immigrant.
I’m calling on all Texas children everywhere to vandalize these commandments at every opportunity. Maybe you can’t or shouldn’t march during tense situations on the streets, but you can protest in the class room. Walkouts, sit ins, general malfeasance… Let’s see what this younger generation has.
Are you suggesting that seeing a bunch of cargo trucks on satellites means that it’s would have been able to go from no nukes to functional nukes in less time than it would take comes to vote on striking? Cargo trucks and mobilization in a foreign country is absolutely not a justifiable reason to attack. Especially considering the strikes that came before and the evacuation that Iran went through in anticipation of Trump’s terrorism. There’s naturally going to be an uptick in activity.
There’s absolutely no gray area in this one. There wasn’t an imminent threat and he bypassed the constitution by bypassing Congress to attack a foreign nation.
Okay, Hitler.
Most of us can, yea.
I’m not not concerned. I just hope that something good does happen.
I agree with the sentiment and there are for sure things they should be doing, like stonewalling and slowing down every thing they can. Other than that, what do you propose they do outside of the rules?
