Going forward this nation will not be able to rely on a federal government. That will remain true whether Trump is sucking down oxygen or not. We’re lucky our nation is broken up into states, some of which can actually self-govern, cuz it’s looking more and more like balkanization for America. And at this point, I’m kind of into it. But I also live in a state with the 4th largest economy on the planet.
It’s seemed like this was the only way out for a while now, but how do we Balkanize peacefully? Or at least with as little conflict as possible? Or do we have to collapse first and the. band together afterwards?
I feel that our best bet to get the U.S. back on track is a general strike, but shit like this makes me understand why some are calling for violent revolution already.
I feel like we’ve gotten to the point in our “hurtling toward doom” where our best course of action is to brace for the immediate impact and once we’ve crawled out from the wreckage we can dust ourselves and each other off and start anew.
What the fuck even is this? That site explains nothing at all. It’s it’s a debit card? A collector card? A get out of immigration jail card? Seriously, what the fuck is wrong with this dude??

Most conservatives will never hear about any of this, or anything, really. My mom had no idea that LA had any riots. Every four years she votes and then goes back to sleep on politics entirely. “I won, the end!”
It’s weird feeling like …nothing matters anymore.

Even that feels fake. Who can you trust? It feels like it’s completely broken and everything is marketed and manipulated to manifest what ever the people with more power, left or right, want.

Yourself. Your friends. Us. Get off the mainstream internet. Put on your marching shoes and touch a bit of grass this weekend at a protest.
Can’t really even trust us here. I’ve seen multiple people who were acting like they wanted to help resist, and then spew right wing propaganda and try to sanewash what the cops are doing.
Can’t even trust the fucking people at the protests, because the police tend to disguise themselves as protesters in order to give their buddies an excuse to start beating and shooting people.
You can trust yourself. So the best you can do is turn up to the protests. Wear protection. Take inspiration from the Hong Kong protests if you don’t know what to bring. Stay alert, and expect the police to start the violence, and act accordingly in self defence.
