Trump believes he, as leader of America, speaks for all 201 countries that aren’t directly part of the war between Israel and Iran, quote: “upon the 24th Hour, an Official END to THE 12 DAY WAR will be saluted by the World.” VP Vance claims he knows more about Iran’s current nuclear situation than anyone else, quote: “Iran is incapable of building a nuclear weapon with the equipment they have because we destroyed it.”

I cannot stress enough that I want the US government to fuck off and never interfere with other countries’ matters that don’t concern them, and to stop acting as the world police. The US is somehow becoming more delusional.

stop acting as the world police

That was actually a point that Trump sort of ran on during the elections. Getting other countries to start taking ownership for their regions and contributing to the costs of intervention, and the US withdrawing from those areas.

But just like everything else the goon says, he only means it when it suits him. His followers do not care if what he says and does are not in agreement.

If the world wants that to happen they have the perfect opportunity to step into the policing role in Ukraine. I’m not sure the EU has the political will to do so to the degree that is necessary.

I mean, these things take time, but European countries have pledged a lot of support since Trump proved himself unreliable

Sure, I’m not saying they’re doing nothing at all. But are they doing enough to replace the resources and manpower historically provided by the US in these kinds of situations? I don’t think so. Is there a politically viable path for the EU to get to that point? That remains to be seen.

I guess nothing is certain until it happens, but I really don’t think you understand what they’re doing over there

They basically opened up the Treasury and said “tell us what you need to produce weapons and we’ll figure out the money later”. They’re rearming Germany and a few countries are talking boots on the ground in Ukraine

They’re turning the war machine on for Ukraine as a bulwark. They’re really not holding back

It’s certainly possible that I have missed some news on the subject but last I heard they had not matched the aid that was being provided under the Biden administration. I hope you are right and that has changed.
