Former President Joe Biden was diagnosed with an “aggressive form” of prostate cancer, according to a statement from his personal office Sunday, and it has spread to his bones.

“Last week, President Joe Biden was seen for a new finding of a prostate nodule after experiencing increasing urinary symptoms. On Friday, he was diagnosed with prostate cancer, characterized by a Gleason score of 9 (Grade Group 5) with metastasis to the bone,” the statement said.

So this guy had cancer his whole presidency and wanted to go for a second term? Imagine he had won and then dies at the first 2 months.

Jesus Christ that’s insane. It’s like he hated the country or something

And now we enter that awkward period where we’re supposed to show only kindness to someone who’s dying, because they’re dying, even if they’re a horrible fucking person.

Biden’s support for genocide handed the presidency to Trump, and between those two things, he’s enabled some of the greatest evil I’ve witnessed in my lifetime.

Fuck you, Biden. You made this world a worse place. The cancer in your ass doesn’t make you worthy of respect or undo the giant middle finger you gave to humanity. Your only value was that you weren’t Trump; take away that contrast and you’re just another evil sack of shit.

The parties do, not the people.

Would you like to remind me what a party primary is, and what effect it has on the nomination process for candidates?

Ever since democrats successfully argued in court that they are under no obligation to follow their own bylaws, a primary is kabuki theater. When we have them at all.

If the Dems would have had a proper primary and campaigned on defined goals instead of nebulous feelings and orange man bad, they could have won.

The weak and poorly defined platform cost them 6 swing states. They pissed off the Amish and the Arabs, which really hurt them in Pennsylvania and Michigan. They didn’t campaign for the Latino voters very well, which should have been a slam dunk given the deportation platform Trump had, which impacted the swing states considerably.

The Dems need to seriously rethink their strategy for 2028 or they are going to lose again. 2026 at this point is looking shaky in both directions, so the Dems need to get their shit together immediately if they are going to stop Rep issues progressing into a 2028 victory.

The goalpost was always win the elections. It hasn’t moved since 2000, Dems just keep trying to redefine how far the endzone is while they field the B team that the franchise owners like instead of solid players the fans want to see.

The people just voted for the old racist guy instead of the younger woman.

Boy you’re just going in circles now moving goalposts. Ciao.

I wish I had well-wishes to give. But Biden losing the republic because of his own hubris makes it difficult to care what trials and suffering lay in his future.

Man, I’m usually one of the people on Lemmy who is, at least, defending that the Dems are not the core problem. I’m very vocal that the failure of the 2024 election was fundamentally a failure of the American people, wherein 1/3 of the country voted for fascism and 1/3 said they didn’t fucking care.

But we lost by a small margin, and Biden choosing to stay in until it was clear that he could not command the confidence of the party - which was past the point when a primary could have been reasonably held - contributed no small amount to fucking us.

Bruh, you spend all your time carrying water for literal fucking fascists, apologizing for them, and licking their boots. You just made a comment about how it’s better now that there’s a Republican in the White House.

Accelerationists like you are fascists, no matter how much you swear up and down that you totally vote Dem while peddling every right-wing talking point you can get your hands on.

I made a comment about how the press is willing to admit that netanyahu is committing genocide in Gaza now that a republican is in the white house. I wouldn’t call that better.

              Accelerationists like you

Guess again. I want democrats to be better. You want everyone to be happy that they’re getting worse.

Guess again. I want democrats to be better. You want everyone to be happy that they’re getting worse.

Tell me more about how Dems in 2024 were worse than they were in 2000, 2004, 2008, 2012, 2016, and 2020. Please. Go ahead. Say something that isn’t a regurgitation of alt-right talking points fed to gullible performative leftists like you who don’t give a single solitary fuck about the lives of marginalized groups.

That is, of course, assuming you are genuine in this, and just don’t give a fuck that you’re helping fascists if it helps you feel good, rather than being a believer in fascist ideology yourself.

I invite everyone reading this to also read the comment that was in reply to.

Here, I’ll paste it for you:

Spreading awareness is key. The overton window is shifting massively. Even MSM is starting to cover the genocide without prefacing every sentence with October 7.

I was saying that the press is admitting that it’s a genocide now that the president is a republican. Of course you know this, but you’re dishonest.

After all, you’re calling me a fascist for being to your left on genocide. And cancer, evidently.
