    I find it much easier to accept that Israeli intelligence dropped the ball than they orchestrated or even tolerated the attack.

    The facts about operation Hannibal, collective punishment, starvation, and war crimes is complete and morally damning without imagining that right-wing Israeli atrocity-profiteers are Palpatine level manipulators instead.

      They absolutely did let it happen on purpose. We had information that pointed to this conclusion within weeks of the attack.

      Egypt told Israel that Hamas was planning something.

      You can walk to the closest military base faster than the IDF reacted to Hamas’ operation.

      Nova survivors are sueing the security forces in presence: a single phone call could’ve saved hundred of lives.

      The list goes on and on, this is absolutely a case of “let it happen on purpose”.

      idk, i don’t think it’s that deep either but netanyahu was looking like he was going to be in some deep shit, and then october 7th happened and quite suddenly there’s a bigger issue for people

      i don’t think it was planned and manipulated exactly, but it sure was a convenient distraction, and i think when you (and i of course mean you in the non-personal sense) start to think of a “plan” then all sorts of “yes and” “benefits” start to crop up

      i wouldn’t be at all surprised if it was a convenient distraction that morphed into the horrific “seize it all” genocidal zionist end game that it’s become over the course of less than a month

      Hey, if you want some anti-Putin paranoia, I can give you that.

      Maybe you’re a Russian state paid propagandist, and your goal here is to water down accusations against Putin by blaming him for crazy shit that he has nothing to do with.

      The point in posting bullshit isn’t just to get people to believe things that are false. It’s also to get people to ignore things that are true, like Putin largely being responsible for both of Trump’s elections through the use of propaganda. The first time was largely manipulating online social media. The second time added US podcasters and personalities that spouted narratives beneficial to Putin.

    We were playing on the phone and suddenly a strange message came up from my deputy commander, … and what he says on the radio is something like this: ‘I don’t know why, but an order was given that there would be no patrols in the (Gaza) fence until 9am

    And sure enough, an hour later, at 6.30am, suddenly sirens.

    The evidence has been mounting for years, and even this specific revelation just confirms what was known since 2024. Yes, the current Israeli regime absolutely has a master plan for killing all Palestinians and taking over their territories, and yes, this plan absolutely includes manipulating public opinion globally - in other words, lying about it. It also includes supporting Hamas.

    They discuss all this relatively openly in knesset.

    Anyhow, here’s a lengthy quote from the article. There are links in it which didn’t copy over, so please click on the article and further links. This is not the first article of this kind, and many come straight from Israeli more-or-less-mainstream outlets.

    this testimony from an on-duty IDF soldier sits next to a wealth of documented evidence Israel knew of the attack well ahead of time. Reporting on this, US independent outlet The Young Turks pointed to a number of these. One was a New York Times article from November 2023 detailing how Israeli officials had:

    obtained Hamas’s battle plan for the Oct. 7 terrorist attack more than a year before it happened

    It also highlighted an article by Israeli news site Haaretz from June 2024 which buttressed this further. It confirmed that the Israeli intelligence had “detailed knowledge of Hamas’s plan”. The same outlet has underscored IDF command ignoring intel from women soldiers patrolling at the border, warning of an impending attack.

    Moreover, Israel deliberately deploying its Hannibal Directive makes the soldier’s testimony all the more believable as well. This Israeli military policy prefers the murder of its own soldiers, over them becoming hostages. Numerous Israeli press reports and revelations from Israeli military officials revealed a “mass Hannibal” order that directed the slaughter of civilians Hamas took captive.

    Israel’s then defense minister Yoav Gallant later admitted that the government implemented the Hannibal Directive on 7 October.

    In other words, Israel was fully prepared to murder its own citizens.

    And they’re clever enough to leave their supporters with one final argument, even if they find out about these very real conspiracies: Hamas still actively perpetrated the attack.

        Anyway, if we’re not blaming Palestinians for electing Hamas, we shouldn’t be blaming Jews for electing Netanyahu.

        Political propaganda is real problem for everyone, and those who know better need to be morally consistent role models for the rest, or we’re doomed to repeat history over and over.

Isrsel is a drmocracy by name they have elections with ton of options yet they voted for him 6 godamn times because they love prime minister hostile to palestinians that would prevent a palestinians state

            I agree, but political propaganda is what it is.

            I wouldn’t be surprised if most Israeli voters are deeply misinformed about what is really happening, and most people don’t care to question what they know, since most people are just trying to get through the day and live their best lives.

            Blame has to go to those in power. Blaming people for voting wrong doesn’t achieve anything.

        They’ve already done an entire report on the failures. A solider saying he got a call to cancel a patrol is not enough evidence for the claim.

      We knew a few weeks after the attack that over a dozen intelligence agencies told them it would happen, and they chose to lower their defenses instead of prepare.

        If you’re referring to the Egyptian intel warning and the internal warning that hamas was training. There was a meeting to address those concerns booked for literally that day.

        You also need to understand the context because in the west we think “oh a security threat we must address it immediately no matter how small”. but isreal has so many threats and its a balancing act to allocate resources. From their report they were prioritizing responding to the Hezbollah forces on their northern border and they were fresh off a war with hamas where they thought they had destroyed a lot of hamas’s capabilities. The idf admit they underestimated hamas’s goals and didnt think they were interested in starting a war because of how obviously stupid it would be.

        The IDF definitely fucked up thats not debated but there is no real credible case for it being intentionally orchestrated by isreal. The evidence is a bunch of explainable events that stringed together can look like a grand plan to those that want it to be true. If you want to hate isreal there is plenty of well supported cases to hate them for.

            Your article doesnt support the claim that isreal intentionally let it happen. It supports my claim that it was an explainable military failure. You are the one revising history to fit this conspiracy.

            It seems like a big deal and conspiracy’s worthy if you dont understand the context at the time. There are constantly attacks being planned against isreal by their many enemies. Isreal uncovering this specific plan and reviewing it before deeming it to be unfeasible is a miscalculation but its not a surprising miscalculation. Its already been said that the IDF did not think that hamas would escalate to trigger a war and that was a miscalculation. But honestly its an understandable miscalculation when we see what’s happened since. Why the fuck would hamas do Oct 7 its so unbelievably stupid.

            Also these “warnings” happened years to months before the actual attack. Is Isreal just suppose to forever prepare for the attack that they believe is unlikely even when there is a more credible threat on their northern border. Its not like they had no staff. It was a tough situation because hamas could always wait, there was no timer on when the attack needed to be launched.

            All of this doesnt excuse isreals action in response and I think even hamas didnt expect them to go this far in retaliation.

    This is basic due diligence, and I shouldn’t have had to do this. OP, what the hell?
