Unfortunately I believe both of them are currently in Romania/US at the moment. The UK may have brought charges against them, but they seem to have pretty much escaped prosecution in Romania and have found Asylum in the US under the current government. It’s unlikely that either Tates step back into the UK.
Actually I believe I saw recently that Romania agreed to extradite them to the UK. I don’t remember the source though, so take that with a grain of salt.

IIRC they were in Romania and when the Trump admin landed in January the brothers some how got special leave to travel on the proviso they returned for their hearings later. They went to Florida thinking that they would get looked after by the Trump admin, but it didn’t go very well and the governor of Florida was threatening charges in the US.
So to my knowledge there was no formal “asylum” but they were banking on their ideology aligning with Trumps.

I don’t think it’s a good idea to do callouts over it or even block people over a single downvote; god knows I fat finger upvotes all the time, and the only reason I don’t do the same for downvotes is Blahaj has them turned off. Because Trump pressured Romania to let him out and he fled the country. Now a different court has to start all over with a different case.
Edit: the article says he returned to Romania to face the charges, as a show of bravado to claim that innocent men don’t run. The UK prosecution said “the domestic criminal matters in Romania must be settled first”.
Romanian prison is basically like not being in jail in a lot of ways, they’re allowed to have their phones and full internet access, they’re can come and go under specific charges etc
